Horizon Public Health, on behalf of Pope County, is excited to announce a funding opportunity for community organizations working to combat the opioid crisis. Thanks to resources made available through the Minnesota Opioid Settlement, local groups can now apply for grants to support impactful, community-driven projects focused on prevention, treatment, recovery, and harm reduction. The goal is to support bold, lasting solutions, especially in communities that have been hit hardest by the opioid epidemic. Applications are due by June 15, 2025.
Horizon Public Health is simultaneously accepting applications in Douglas, Grant, Pope, Stevens, and Traverse Counties during this application window, and projects encompassing one or more counties within Horizon’s service area will also be considered for grant funding upon application.
Applicants that are selected for funding will be expected to:
• Implement a project that addresses the opioid crisis through prevention, treatment, recovery, or harm reduction strategies.
• Submit a yearly report outlining how funds were used, project outcomes, and any updated contact information.
Applicants are encouraged to propose sustainable initiatives that will continue beyond the grant period through partnerships, additional funding, or integration into existing efforts. Proposals should also reflect clearly identified needs within the local community.
