Pope County Recorder Sarah Green was named to the 2025 Minnesota Association of County Officers (MACO) Honor Roll at MACO’s recent conference.

The MACO Honor Roll is an award intended to acknowledge MACO members who stay engaged in the association’s educational opportunities and keep up with industry changes. It reflects steady participation in trainings and conferences and a commitment to staying informed in support of their work. Being included on the honor roll shows that a member is actively involved in MACO and continues to invest in their professional development.

Green received the award along with her colleagues from Hennepin and Dakota Counties, in recognition of the group’s leadership in the statewide effort to help counties understand and implement the new Judicial Security requirements related to privatizing real property records, new requirements mandated by Minnesota law. The group has held monthly virtual educational meetings for county recorders and other county partners to share resources, templates, and practical examples as counties work through Judicial Security implementation. The group’s work continues during the 2026 legislative session to work with MACO to stay apprised of any future groups seeking privatization of real property records.

MACO is a professional association of county officials dedicated to assisting its members and improving services to their constituencies, including County Auditor, Treasurer, Recorder, and Vital Records officials.
