Hancock Glenwood Gravel Pit Expansion
This EAW studied Hancock Concrete Products, LLC’s (Hancock) proposed Glenwood Gravel Pit Expansion Project in Glenwood Township, Pope County, located north of State Highway 28, and east of the City of Glenwood. The expansion area will include approximately 40 acres adjacent to an existing mining operation; hence a mandatory EAW is required under Minnesota Rules 4410.4300, Subpart 12, Item B. The Facility extracts, stores, and distributes crushed stone for use in concrete operations at other facilities. Operation activities include aggregate extraction, washing and staging of gravel, crushing and recycling of concrete, and a series of ponds.
