The Minnesota Department of Transportation (MnDOT) has provided another update as they enter “the home stretch” on the Highway 114 construction project in Pope County between Lowry and Starbuck. Read on for the latest information, or visit the MnDOT Highway 114 project page for more information.

We are in the home stretch on the Highway 114 project! Paving has been completed between Starbuck and Lowry, with some shouldering and guardrail left to complete. Please watch for crews and give them plenty of space to work.Â
In the city of Lowry, concrete work continues through town. Concrete crews are finishing up curb and gutter, and will continue work on sidewalks. Paving in Lowry is scheduled to take place the week of Oct. 7, weather permitting.Â
Final striping will follow. The road is expected to reopen to all traffic by mid-October.Â
Local traffic navigation
Business and residential access is being maintained during construction. If you must use Highway 114 to access a cross street or your destination, be aware of restrictions in the areas where crews are working.Â
Thru-traffic detour
If you do not have a destination on Highway 114, please follow the signed detour route on Highway 55 and Highway 28.
