Starting Wednesday, September 11, the Pope County Auditor/Treasurer’s Office will be starting its relocation to its newly-renovated office location on the west end of the first floor of the historic Pope County Courthouse.
The Auditor/Treasurer’s Office will be located at the west end of the hallway on first floor through the double doors at the end. The new space for the Auditor/Treasurer’s Office provides a more accessible location on the first floor for the general public seeking election and taxpayer services, improved security, and expanded space for accommodating increased election activity in the Courthouse.
The former Auditor/Treasurer’s Office space on second floor will be lightly renovated for the use of the Pope County Land and Resource Management Department, which formerly occupied the first floor space now housing the Auditor/Treasurer. Temporarily, Land and Resource Management will remain in the Community Room space on first floor, until the second floor space is ready.
