Pope County will open cannabis retail business registration at 8:00 a.m. on Monday, September 22, 2025, for businesses in cities and townships that have delegated cannabis local registration authority to the County.
Individuals and businesses interested in operating a cannabis retail business within Pope County must complete the required registration process. This process ensures compliance with Minnesota state law and local regulations.
To be considered, applicants must:
- Complete the County application form
- Pay the applicable registration fee (non-refundable)
- Provide a copy of approved state cannabis business license
Note, cannabis preapproval licenses will not be considered. Any submissions before 8:00am on September 22nd will not be considered. Incomplete applications will not be processed.
