Horizon Public Health, Pope County’s local public health agency, has issued the 2025 summary report on Pope County’s Opioid Settlement Fund Grant allocations, with $192,800 in funding allocated to community projects during the year.
The report is part of Horizon’s role as facilitator of the grant award process in Pope County and other area counties served by Horizon Public Health.
The Pope County Board of Commissioners, along with the County Boards in Douglas, Grant, Stevens, and Traverse Counties have awarded organizations, recommended by the County Opioid Task Forces, with opioid settlement money. The awards of the funding will focus their work on prevention, treatment, harm reduction, and recovery support.
Horizon and Pope County plan to announce a new application window for 2026 grant awards, tentatively in May or June of 2026, which will be announced on the Horizon Public Health opioid settlement advisory council website once finalized and active.
Horizon Public Health has presented data on these settlement awards in the following formats, which can be accessed at the Horizon Public Health website.
