Pope SWCD has partnered with the Chippewa River Watershed, Minnesota Well Owners Organization, Minnesota Groundwater Association, and Traut Well Company to host a comprehensive Private Well Screening Clinic. This event will take place Thursday, July 16, 2026 from 1–6 PM at the Legacy Building at the Pope County Fairgrounds.
Well owners can receive FREE nitrate and chloride screening at the event, along with the option to bring water samples for discounted, certified arsenic and manganese testing.
Most contaminants in Minnesota’s groundwater cannot be detected by sight, smell, or taste, so regular testing is essential for anyone who relies on a private well. We want to spread the word widely so everyone has access to the free and discounted testing.
