(July 3, 2023) Visitors to the Pope County Courthouse this week may find access and parking on the east side of the Courthouse restricted at times due to the City of Glenwood’s scheduled completion of street work in the area on Wednesday, July 5, and Thursday, July 6.
The City of Glenwood will be completing a portion of its 2022 Street Improvement Project on 2nd Street SE this week south of Minnesota Avenue, temporarily impacting Courthouse access and parking.
Visitors to the Courthouse this week can access the courthouse through the east doors through sidewalk approaches, or use the north or south public doors to the Courthouse. Access to parking in the east lot may be restricted, and parking on 2nd Street SE south of Minnesota Avenue will be unavailable. Please consider parking on-street parking on the south, west, or north sides of the Courthouse block, but note that time restrictions apply on the west and north sides of the block. Parking is also available during business hours in the Glenwood Lutheran Church lot east of the Courthouse and the Annex Building lot north and east of the Courthouse.
Work in the areas is scheduled to conclude this week, but further updates will be provided if contractor plans change.
