NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that, on September 2, 2025, Ordinance No. 202501 Regulating Cannabis Businesses and Events in Pope County was adopted by the Pope County Board of Commissioners.
NOTICE IS FURTHER GIVEN that, pursuant to Minn. Stat. §§ 331A.01 and 375.51, a summary of Ordinance No. 202501 is provided as follows:
Ordinance No. 202501 specifically provides for the regulation of cannabis businesses and events in Pope County in the manner local governments are allowed by Minnesota Statutes. Ordinance No. 202501 establishes and defines registration processes for cannabis businesses and sets certain requirements and limitations for operation of cannabis businesses and events. The Ordinance adopted changes Section 2.3.2 to require that prospective cannabis business registrants hold a valid state license in order to submit an application for registration. Ordinance No. 202501 is otherwise substantively unchanged from the provisions of Ordinance No. 202405, which was repealed by adoption of Ordinance No. 202501 upon its effective date.
NOTICE IS FURTHER GIVEN that a copy of this Ordinance is available for public inspection here on the County’s public website at www.popecountymn.gov, in the office of the Pope County Administrator during normal business hours, or upon request by calling 320-634-7704.
